September for many heralds the start of something new - whether it be a new School or University year, back to work after holidays, going back into work or a new job post pandemic maybe. It's also a clean page for those that realise a need or indeed want to change - to get fitter , lose some weight , or just to feel better ....but where to start?
What then , is the definition of fitness?
Fitness means the condition of being physically and mentally fit with good health. It is the ability to carry out daily tasks with vigour and alertness, without undue fatigue and with ample energy to enjoy life.
How can this be achieved?
Research has shown that it is important for all round fitness to include exercise for endurance, strength, balance and flexibility - each one has different benefits. Good health results from exercise whatever your level or ability and of course proper balanced nutrition.
This can all be a bit intimidating for those embarking on a health regime for improved fitness and / or weight loss and not knowing where or how to start or how to get back. It starts with realising and truly wanting to change, and when you have that you can achieve anything with the right help, guidance and support.
Lindsey Fitness is just that and I have always prided myself on helping those that want to change, but don't know how, to do just that!
