Into February and hints of Spring becoming ever evident despite the range of weather conditions we have been experiencing. This week brought Ice, rain, sleet and snow but glorious Sunshine last Sunday which is traditionally the Lindsey Fitness Running Club group run day. It was crisp, cold, clear and sunny and I was thrilled to see catkins, leaves budding on trees and even heard a
woodpecker hard at work!
Very often fellow members are observed out on their miles and whether it is a passing wave, cheer or yell of encouragement, it never fails to lift and make you smile (and certainly very proud!)
Throughout the three lockdowns, and being unable to meet, Club members have wholeheartedly embraced the 'Just Keep Moving' Initiative by walking, jogging and running miles and then logging all their efforts each week in the club Facebook group for adjudication. A nominated secret judge devises awards for 3 members based on their posts and the total mileage for the week and award winners are announced in a Live broadcast
by me every Saturday.
Awards have been given for physical effort and achievement, photos of observations of people and places of interest from the beautiful Hertfordshire Countryside, running fashion trends to video's - it's all such fun.
It is proving a phenomenal campaign that has far exceeded any expectation since its launch in March last year. But it has captured the enthusiasm and the clear need for members to keep fit both physically and of course mentally at this time as well as to stay connected .
Our club aim therefore is to achieve a incredible 25,000 miles from our efforts throughout the 3 Lockdowns by March 23rd - a year since we started but is certainly now within sight.

"I’m walking on cloud 10 right now!
I have been yo-yo dieting for the last few years and pretty much gaining weight until I was at despair point. I am very active but after an operation on my leg a few years back found I was struggling with it just to walk the dog. Should I go back to the surgeon or possibly was my problem a weight issue! Then lo and behold came a
notification from Lindsey about this reset programme.
I didn’t think twice, pressed the button and paid. Well this has to be the best decision in I’ve ever made other than getting married.
The placebo diet has changed the way I look at myself, what goes into my body and my weight. I feel healthy inside and out and am determined to continue. As for my leg it’s back to feeling fairly “normal”.
I’m out with my dog on long walks again, I feel almost 70 I have finally conquered myself."
