"After attending a Placebo Diet course with Janet Thomson a couple of years ago I have always wanted to do the 14 day reset program ,but always made excuses not to do it. I just thought it was something that I could not possibly achieve because of it's succinctness. But over the last year and the lockdown's and getting into such bad habits with my eating and
drinking, getting through this difficult time meant most days also involved a lovely long G&T and wine which just became a habit.
Wrong food choices meant I put on weight, disliked myself very much but did nothing about it. 'Lockdown lard' appeared everywhere, then Xmas came with too much eating and drinking to be merry. By January I was not feeling at all good about myself. I felt bloated, had no energy, foggy brain, and along with a few health issues - I realised needed to stop abusing
this body of mine.
It was time for me to take responsibility, because only I could be the one to do that. My sister who is a previous resetter suggested joining her doing the mentored January Reset with Lindsey. My reply was to have a couple of days to think about it. I felt quite nervous of the commitment so tried to talk myself out of it, but in the back of my mind
I knew I needed this so I signed up and after a chat with Lindsey I was on my journey...
The first week was great getting to know Lindsey and the other participants and getting everything ready for the following week - preparing the mind, the body and meal planning too after which I was raring to go and in the right mindset. I could not wait to start looking after my body body and stop abusing it.
I loved how every meal was planned, the times to eat, every meal was delicious and so satisfying and I was not left at all hungry. Listening to the audios and watching Janet's videos and using the tapping techniques was a great help it just made you think about listening to my body and recognising authentic hunger signals. Also doing Lindsey's HiiT every morning
was great I loved it!.
The intermittent fasting was not a problem at all, ! felt so full with the meals i was preparing , that I was beginning to know that this was going to be okay. I was not hungry and not thinking about food. I was coming to realise that fasting is when the body can do all it needs to do, to heal, renew and restore uninterrupted
Into the second week I was still feeling very satisfied with the meals. and here I am 14 days later. What a transformation! Such a feeling of self-achievement.
I have lost 10lbs and 10.5 inches, and my mind and body just looks and feels amazing!!!!
My thoughts have changed about food. I now love the food that truly loves me back! My skin is glowing, I feel revived!
I would highly recommend this course to everyone - Finally learning and enjoying how to look after that amazing body of yours is something you will never regret - I am and I look and feel like a different person"
