Hi
Keeping it clean was the message in classes this week ....and we weren't talking Nutrition as that is a given if you want a healthy body and associated weight loss.
Constant positive praise to yourself and to and
indeed from others has just as profound an impact as negative comments but clearly creates a whole different level of self esteem and self belief writes Janet Thomson in a recent Blog.
In Janet's Book The Placebo Diet much of the work is based on changing and improving your internal dialogue. It's therefore important to be careful what you say to yourself - because only you are listening!
Are you still
living and thinking according to your own and other people's Self Harming Invasive Thoughts (read that again!) or have you created a new clean way of thinking to replace it?
Here's a checklist for your thoughts. If they are not made up of these elements
then they need to be changed.
Your thoughts must be:
C - Caring L - Loving E - Encouraging A - Aspiring N- Nurturing
When we are kind and loving to
ourselves you acknowledge you are special and unique. Loving yourself and being kind to YOU makes it possible for others to be kind and loving to you too. It's very difficult for someone to give and show you love if you are constantly self deprecating yourself.
So the exercise for this week ( along side your physical exercise of course!) is to pay attention to how many times per day you say something negative to yourself, and compare this to how many positive,
encouraging 'CLEAN' statements you can make by comparison.
