Hello There,
Moving through March at a pace it seems...
the Spring Resetters and myself are over halfway through the most amazing mind body deep clean as we approach the long fast days this Sunday and Monday.
All are primed and confident, following a week of preparation, and then 6 days of reducing our feeding
windows. Our nutrition has been super charged with the most amazing meals, hydration is bang on point and our bodies are already responding with vitality and energy. During the increasing fasting windows we can hydrate with unlimited clear fluids including herbal/ fruit teas, miso, coconut water , bone broth and kombucha.
I have drunk kombucha everyday for several years now, having recognised the benefits when I was introduced to it through
Janet Thomson;s Placebo Diet. I then started and continue to brew it myself at home. This weeks health matters is about Kombucha, what it is , how it is made and its amazing health benefits. There is also a link and 10% discount to a brand I recommend to try some yourself.
Food matters is a delicious Reset friendly(or any other time) Spinach and Coconut Dahl to try and costs under £5 too!
Thank you to those who have sponsored those of us taking part in this years the Virtual London Marathon for Isabel Hospice on April 26th, and there is still time for your own challenge by entering the CRUK Race for Life event in May.
Have a beautiful week, I'll see you in classes, online and at running club.
Love Lindsey xx

Kombucha: What It Is, How It's Made, and Its Health Benefits
What is Kombucha?
Kombucha is a refreshing, fermented, sparkling tea
that's been around for centuries. It is a drink packed with live cultures, that support your gut health, immune function and detoxification.
How is Kombucha Made?
Kombucha is made by fermenting black or green, sweetened tea with a culture of bacteria and yeast, often referred to as a SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast).. When these ingredients
are combined, the SCOBY feeds off of and absorbs the sugar content, growing in size and fermenting the liquid.
The SCOBY ferments the tea over a week or so, transforming it into kombucha. The results is a slightly tangy, lightly fizzy drink which can be drunk in this for , or add fruit for a second fermentation to flavour it.
Health Benefits of Kombucha
Now, you
might be wondering, "Why should I drink kombucha?" Well, there are a few reasons that make it a popular choice:
Probiotics Galore: Kombucha contains good bacteria that can support gut health by promoting a balanced microbiome.
Antioxidant Boost: The tea itself is rich in antioxidants, kombucha can help combat oxidative stress and reduce inflammation. Think of
it as your body's natural defence team.
Detoxification: The organic acids produced during fermentation can aid in liver detoxification and improve overall liver function.
Energy Lift: The small amounts of caffeine and B vitamins from the fermentation, kombucha can give you a gentle energy boost without the jitters.
Immune
Support: The vitamins, particularly B vitamins and vitamin C, along with probiotics, can boost the immune system.
Digestion:Kombucha’s natural acids and probiotics has potential to enhance digestive health and relieve common digestive issues like bloating.
If you haven't already....., why not give kombucha a try and see how it makes you feel?
Whether you buy in store, online or brew your own at home, it’s a simple way to add something healthy into your regime. Remember, as with anything, moderation is key, so enjoy it as part of a balanced lifestyle.
I have brewed my own for many years now, starting from a simple kit from Amazon and as I mentioned it is the first thing I have every morning on rising (even on holiday). This allows it to reach the gut
uninterrupted to work it's magic from the start of the day.
A brand I can highly recommend is Booyah Vitality Kombucha, an award winning brew founded by a friend, Lisa Driver in Hastings. Check out their website and enjoy a 10% discount on your order with the codeBUZZ10
