Lindsey Fitness News - November 27th 2025 - The Skin You're In.
Published: Thu, 11/27/25
Hello There,
Grey days and occasional sightings of sunshine this week following last weeks icy blast. It certainly hasn't bought down the November Reset group. After smashing the preparation week, we are embracing the first of our 2 weeks of fasting protocols with enthusiasm. It's not even about determination, it's the absolute joy of knowing how amazing
we are going to feel at it's completion on so many levels.
The group including myself are all seasoned Resetters, which left me thinking about all the other hundreds of people I have had the privilege of helping with fitness and weight loss over the last 32 years in classes, and perhaps haven't seen in (quite) a while. I am always proud of all those who ever attended classes and if you have maintained your weight loss , health and fitness
that is wonderful. I am also proud of you if you haven't quite managed that.. The very fact you entrusted me once to work with you, however long ago is amazing. I am always here for you all.
That said I am working on a brand new initiative for the month of January for an online group (or class if you like) Where participants are looking for the way back to a slimmer, fitter, healthier happier body and mindset - interested?
There will be more details in the next couple of weeks on how to get involved. In the meantime, spend a moment or two remembering just how you felt at your very best, when you were a member of my weight loss and fitness classes, because I want to work with you and help you back to that version of you - Interested?
A request to book all your Lindsey Fitness Classes for up to Christmas and into the New Year, subject to attendance
numbers.
Delicious (Reset friendly) Spicy Rubbed Chicken recipe to delight your tastebuds and your waistline in Food Matters this week - Enjoy!
Have a great week

Embrace Your Winter Glow: Caring for Your Skin as We Age
The Winter's chill is here, and with it comes a whole new set of challenges for our skin. I am sure you may have noticed that as we age, our skin tends to react differently to the cold. But don't worry— I've got some tips to help you keep your skin looking and feeling
its best.
First things first, let's talk moisture. Winter air is dry, and it can leave your skin feeling tight and flaky. Make sure to use a rich, hydrating moisturiser. Think of it as a cosy blanket for your skin! Apply it right after your shower to lock in that precious moisture. And don't forget your hands and feet—they need love too!
Now, you might be thinking, "What about sunscreen?" Yes, yes, yes even in winter! The sun's rays can still sneak through those clouds and of course reflect off the snow should we get it. A good SPF I use a moisturiser with factor 50) is your skin's best friend all year round. Your future self will thank you.
Let's not forget about hydration from the inside out. Drinking plenty of water is just as important in winter as it is in summer. It helps keep your skin plump and healthy. If you're not a fan of plain water, herbal teas are a fantastic, warming alternative. My current favourite is ginger green tea recommended by one of my November Resetters.
I know that winter can be a time when we just want to
hibernate, but a little exfoliation can go a long way. Gently sloughing off dead skin cells helps your moisturiser work even better. But remember, gentle is the key word here. Our skin gets more delicate as we age, so let's treat it with the kindness it deserves.
Eat as colourfully and naturally as possible, fruit and veg especially contain a huge range of anti-oxidants that support skin health too. Avoid
Ultra Processed Foods (UPF's) at all costs.
Finally, let's talk about self-care. Winter is a perfect time to pamper yourself with a facial or a soothing mask. It's not just about looking good—it's about feeling good too. We all deserve a little TLC, especially when the days are short and the nights are long. There are loads of single use face masks to chose from or treat your self to a professional facial maybe - because
you are worth it!
So, let's embrace the winter season with open arms and glowing skin. We can keep our skin healthy and radiant, no matter what the weather throws our way. Remember, a little extra care goes a long way. Stay warm, stay hydrated, and let's keep that skin glowing!

Spicy Rubbed Chicken
INGREDIENTS:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion
powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to your heat preference)
Salt and pepper to taste
Juice of 1 lime
Fresh coriander, chopped (for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Prep Your Chicken: First things first, let's get those chicken
breasts ready. Pat them dry with a paper towel. This helps the spices stick better.
Mix the Spices: In a small bowl, combine chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Give it a good mix. This is where the magic happens!
Season the Chicken: Drizzle olive oil over the chicken breasts. Then, sprinkle the spice mix evenly on
both sides. Rub it in gently with your fingers. Feel free to get a little messy—it's all part of the fun!
Heat Things Up: Heat a large heavy pan over medium-high heat. Once it's nice and hot, add a bit more olive oil. We want that chicken to sizzle when it hits the pan!
Cook the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the pan. Cook each side for about 6-7 minutes, or until
the chicken is cooked through and has a beautiful golden-brown crust. If you're unsure, slice one open to check that it's no longer pink inside.
Add a Zesty Twist: Just before you finish cooking, squeeze the juice of one lime over the chicken. This adds a fresh, tangy flavor that complements the spice beautifully.
Rest and Garnish: Once cooked, let the chicken rest for a
couple of minutes. This helps keep it juicy. Then, sprinkle some fresh coriander on top for a pop of colour and flavour.
Serve with a platter of over roasted vegetables of your choice - my favourires , are carrots, beetroot, cauliflower and butternut squash! - ENJOY!
