The ' Very Last One' !!!........8 weeks to go >>>> With just 8 weeks to go, and an 18 mile training run this Sunday my thoughts are very much on both the physical and mental aspects of training for and running on the big
day. 'Running a marathon refers to participating in a long-distance road race with an official distance of 42.195 kilometers (approximately 26.2 miles). It is a test of endurance, stamina, and mental strength. Marathons are organised worldwide, often in major cities, and attract both professional athletes and amateur runners. The activity requires significant training and preparation, as it challenges the
runner's physical and mental limits'. This will be my 17th ( and last) Marathon. I always wanted to run a Marathon having taking part in the very first Moon Walk Marathon some years before. so I eventually took the plunge in my 50th Year by way of celebration. That just one Marathon became an annual event, sometimes bi-annual but I thrived on the discipline of training both my body and just as importantly, and I think more so -
mindset. I am thankful that my job as a fitness instructor gives me a level of physicality to be able train for the distance, along with some wonderful people at the Lindsey Fitness Running Club. The mentality or mindset come from focusing right from the moment of entering an event. Visualising and manifesting the feeling of success, accomplishment and achievement - the finish line, the medal, the money raised for charity. THAT is what carries me on the miles of training, on the start
line, through 26.2 miles and over the finish line. Always telling myself I CAN and WILL, it's powerful stuff I have used in so many areas of my life - I hope you do to , it's powerful stuff!
The training and fund raising continues.... Fundraising for the Welwyn Hatfield Parkinson's Group is now heading towards the £500 target , at a fantastic £436.00 (including cash donations) I can't thank you enough
£436.00 SO FAR! Thank you so muchly xxx
As many now know I am also operating as an Independent Family Celebrant, a role I take as both an honour and a privilege for the families I am entrusted to. Please don't hesitate to get in touch or pass on my details if I may
be of any help at a time of loss or of celebration to you or someone you know.
