Well, we have certainly had some extremes of weather this week! With a sharp frost last Saturday morning, a beautiful Sunday Runday that was cool and still then in to Monday with wild, wet and windy storm 'Debi'. But whatever the weather I really do enjoy getting out in the fresh air everyday, walking or running with Frank the
Vizsla it can be exhilarating and certainly moodlifting......as Billy Connolly says " there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes" so wrap up and get out there to get improved fitness, your mood lifted and those those 'dolphins up'! Does it seem to you that Christmas starts earlier and and earlier every year too?
Christmas adverts on the TV, a whole channel devoted to non-stop Christmas films, supermarket shelves and aisles stocked with Christmas foods and gifts at every turn. Even when I walked Frank on Monday morning I passed a house beautifully decorated in full Festive regalia and even an ornamental deer on the lawn!!!! I really try not to let any
panic set in as to everything that needs to be done, but there is always that niggle that I could miss something by not getting started with everyone else? FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) I guess.
However, one thing I am sure about is 'priming' for the January Reset 2024, I have confirmed and diarised the dates, checked through all the fantastic Colour Fast Reset resources resources that are used and can breathe a sigh of relief that I along with some of you joining me, will be my priority the other side of the madness to come. Lindsey Fitness Classes are one thing not to put aside leading up to the Christmas break. The Classic aerobics is proving such fun as we challenge ourselves with the current routine and the Saturday Walkfit has become such a popular class now. Members also continue to push themselves with the
HiiT session. which incorporates Cardio, Strength and Conditioning elements for all round fitness. All Lindsey Fitness members have unlimited access to the library of online and LIVE sessions. 365 days of the year. Your fitness is KING, and shouldn't be put to one side - so make it top of your list and a non negotiable every week at this time of year. November is 'Attend with a Friend'
month - bring a friend (new to or former Lindsey Fitness members only) with you for FREE. It's always good to workout with friends who may be a little nervous or lack the confidence to attend a class on their own - just get in touch and let me know who you will be bringing to classes.

This 1 hour practical session will be in the Dance Studio at The Ridgeway Academy in WGC starting at 2pm. I am extending the invite to Lindsey Fitness members and their friends and families. I cannot stress how useful this practical session is - because you just never

Here's a recipe for a hearty Autumn Chicken and Vegetable Soup: TIP : Batch cook and freeze in portions, add any extra vegetables of your choice INGREDIENTS: - 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, peeled and diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 1 sweet potato, peeled and diced
- 1 cup butternut squash, peeled and diced
- 4 cups chicken stock/ broth
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley,
chopped (for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS: - Heat the olive oil in a large pot over a medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
- Add the diced carrots, celery, sweet potato, and butternut squash to the pot. Stir well to combine with the onion and garlic.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the cooked chicken, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper to the pot. Stir everything together and let it simmer for another 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Taste and adjust the
seasoning if needed.
- Serve the soup hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
