Flying back into the New Year with some well attended classes, positive attitudes, new goals and a full group getting started on their Reset preparation week. You can almost hear the sigh of relief to be getting on with things again! That said it is never too late to start anything that will make you feel better physically and mentally. Exercise of course is a great facilitator of
just that. I am always very mindful when new members come along to try a class for the first time. Whilst it is usual for me in most cases to have had contact with them prior to a class to put them at their ease. It is still daunting to walk into a room of people you don't know, with groups of established exercisers who are animated and chatting with each other ahead of class start. The head chatter of "where should I stand, I don't want to look stupid, will I keep
up?....." However I am always there, at the door in some cases, to welcome a new person, introduce them to others members and insist they only do what is comfortable for themselves personally. I will place them in the class where I feel they will be the most comfortable, and assure them that no one is looking at them as they will be looking at me. It is always then such a joy by the end of the class to see someone that realised they did better than they thought they would, that they
got to the end of it still standing .....and actually really quite enjoyed it. basmati rice
- 1 egg
- 300g/10oz smoked
haddock
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Salt and black pepper
- 15g/ ½ oz butter or 50g/2oz fromage frais
- Cook the rice as usual, drain and rinse
- Hard boil the egg, chop it into pieces and add with the haddock, parsley and lemon to the rice
- When ready to serve, add the butter/fromage frais
- Reheat in the microwave or oven and stir well.
