What a fantastic start to the Marathon bid fund raising request for Isabel Hospice! Over £400 of the minimum £1500 I need to raise was donated in less than 48 hours! - I am so very
grateful and really feel this is now achievable in time for the TCS London Marathon on April 23rd now less than 13 weeks away! Read more about fund raising events and how you can help later in this newsletter.... The January resetters are now in the last few days of the 2 week Intermittent fasting part of the programme. Last Sunday and Monday were the middle long fasting days, which participants had fastidiously prepared for and consequently sailed through magnificently. The beauty of delivering the programme for me is that no one can get it wrong. Women that evolve with confidence and surprise
at how well they follow it .Then the realisation and reward of their bodies 'deep cleaning' because they now know what is needed of them to feel good, really good!. A work in progress to look and feel their best version - always! Yes they are excited about what the scales will say this coming weekend, but they already know they have changed because they can feel it in the clothes they are wearing and see it in the mirror . This in turn has given them the confidence and desire to continue
with the Colour Code System guidelines. They have the knowledge and are empowered to continue knowing will never have to 'diet' again. I can't wait to share the results with you next week - prepare to be amazed! Hospice...... OUR Hospice! Isabel Hospice and the amazing work they do year in year out is worth every penny and every mile. Last Sunday heralded the start of the long run training series leading up to the Marathon on April 23rd. I woke bright and early to get ready for the Fred Hughes 10 mile event hosted by The St Albans Striders Running Club . It was an unprecedented - 5 degrees, very icy and bitterly cold. Runners had been informed the night before to watch out for an e-mail in case of postponement due to the conditions.
No email arrived so the event would run as planned. It was a 30th Anniversary signature event for the St Albans Striders with over 1000 runners taking part. The sun was shining, with the Cathedral looking so majestic and I and fellow Lindsey Fitness Marathon Runner Peter Aubusson were certainly ready to get going at 10am just to get warm in the first instance. It was one of my best runs at that event and I was pleased to complete the undulating course in 1 hour 26 minutes
and 59 seconds. It was a fast pace which I certainly won't be running at in the coming weeks and longer distances but am thrilled to have started the countdown to the Marathon so well, spurred on by all the support and donations for Isabel Hospice - so THANK YOU!. Peter also completed and was pleased to finish in an admirable 1 hour 43 mins.The next long training run is with the Lindsey Fitness Running Club - 14 miles on February 19th . |

We need 6 teams of 7 players which can be mixed , ALL welcome - players , Non players, not played for years , never played . Partners , Husbands , Sons and

FOOD MATTERS..... Lentil Bolognaise A delicious and highly nutritious, Winter warmer from BBC Good Food. IngredientsMethodHeat the oil in a large saucepan and add the onions, carrots, celery and garlic. Cook gently for 15-20 mins until everything is softened. Stir in the lentils, chopped tomatoes, tomato purée,
herbs and stock. Bring to a simmer, then cook for 40-50 mins until the lentils are tender and saucy – splash in water if you need. Season If eating straight away, keep on a low heat while you cook the spaghetti, following pack instructions. Drain well, divide between pasta bowls or plates, spoon sauce over the top and grate over some cheese. Alternatively, cool the sauce and chill for up to 3 days.
Or freeze for up to 3 months. Simply defrost portions overnight at room temperature, then reheat gently to serve. |
