It was never in doubt, that last weekend in Guildford with Janet Thomson on the Come Alive Now Retreat would be brilliant, but what transpired was incredible. Every single participant (including myself) came away with a whole new perspective and road map of self care for the mind, body and soul. It was lovely to see
some Lindsey Fitness Members there and to meet some of the Resetters in person at last, along with some other lovely ladies too.
" Self Care is NOT Selfish"
This was the first session on Friday with Janet, an interactive and revealing discussion on how amazing our bodies (the place where 'we' live) are, how hard they work for us 24/7 and how much
we abuse them by not respecting that. Abuse that results in all sorts of issues including stress, weight gain, lack of sleep, lack of self esteem and confidence to name but a few. We each discussed things in our lives we would like to change or be able to do differently. Janet went on to tell us just how we can start to do just that. We are all made of literally trillions and trillions and trillions of different cells, all those cells have a positive and
negative charge, just like a battery. If a battery in a device is the wrong way up that device simply won't work - think of a torch for example!!
When we as humans are in negative polarity, its the same as having a battery in the wrong way and this affects everything we do and everything we are from thinking to sleeping, and everything in between physically, mentally and emotionally.
We were asked to
complete a self assessment self care audit wheel, marking ourselves out of 10 on different aspects of our lives - general anxiety, self-esteem, how well we prioritise work and family, relationships, physical activity level, inner chatter or self talk, sleep quality and duration, and nutrition.
Delegates were then shown some practical TFT (Thought Field Therapy), a simple tapping algorithm to correct our polarity to positive, along with several
other energy hygiene techniques.
By the next morning several reported the best nights sleep they had had for a long time...
" Did my tapping in the shower, had the best nights sleep in a long while!"
"I never made it to the pool this morning because I slept for 8 hours, which happens to me about once a year!"
