Lindsey Fitness News - 14th April 2022 - Happy Easter!

The Easter Bank Holiday weekend is upon us, and the opportunity maybe to spend a more normal time this year with family and friends post pandemic after all the restrictions these past 2 years. The weather is set to be just lovely for getting out in the fresh air for some walks - something I certainly will be doing with Frank!

There are NO Lindsey Fitness Classes this Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday but the HiiT Class at Monks Walk on Easter Saturday will run as usual at 8.30am - please remember to book your place. Exercise replays online are available throughout to Lindsey Fitness members too. The Spring Reset has finished with fantastic results again for participants mentally as well as physically, not least of all weight loss - do read the testimonial I have posted from Jacqui later in the newsletter, who is so thrilled with her Reset.. You can book the next Reset in May which is always a popular one ahead of the Summer - so do be quick about it to secure a place.

The Brighton Marathon last week was a triumph of the highest level for Lindsey Fitness Running Club members Vicki and Amanda who are both Fitness Instructors. Vicki was last year diagnosed with breast Cancer, and after enduring the rigors of both Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy was diagnosed cancer free earlier this year. Vicki set her sights on the Brighton marathon as a focus for her amazing recovery. Her lovely friend Amanda pledged to do it with her. They both completed the 26.2 mile distance on one of the warmest days this year in a stunning 5 hours 21 minutes. Both girls raised significant amounts for their respective charities Niamh's Next Step and Breast Cancer Now. Understandably an emotional day, and after time to recover Vicki will be back in training for the London Marathon in October - how awesome and humbling is that!

Not looking to do a Marathon maybe but.......

The CRUK Race for Life returns to it's traditional Summer series of dates. The Welwyn Hatfield Race weekend is back in May. This is such a great event for adults as well as kids

walk, get down, get pretty muddy but have the best fun doing it!

Sunday 29th May 2022 - Race for Life 5km & 10 km

This 5km (or 10k) event can be walked or run as an individual or as a group of friends or a family.
