Hoorah for the lighter evenings, it's so good to be going out to classes that start and finish in daylight! I look forward to seeing even more members back at the face to face evening classes to jumpstart your Summer Fitness - but don't forget to book your place!

The Spring Resetters have been up early this week for an express HiiT Session to boost fat burning in conjunction with their intermittent fasting regime over this next two weeks - I love the application and positivity the Reset generates in the participants as they experience and feel the changes in their mind and bodies.

It's been good to see so many more people out and about walking in the Spring sunshine which also benefits the mind and body. I know how much happier I am enjoying two good walks a day with Frank the Vizsla. It works as a great 'pattern interrupt' to my working day, giving me time to think, plan and recharge. I know also how much the walking group attached to the Lindsey Fitness Running Club enjoy the Sunday walk for the social aspect as much as for the exercise too.

We wish Lindsey Fitness Running Club Member Natalie Kempster a fantastic Marathon in Paris this coming weekend - Running Club Members will be following her progress remotely on the Marathon app. Natalie has been training hard since the beginning of the year and its been a privilege to join her on the long training runs ahead of the big day on Sunday. Good Luck / Bon Chance Natalie!!!

NOW you may not ever want to run a marathon of course but having a goal or event to take part in is great motivation to be more active. For many The CRUK Race for Life Event is the start of a fitness journey. This 5km (or 10k) event can be walked or run as an individual or as a group of friends or a family.

In the wake of the Pandemic and the cancellation of the event for over a year, and limited events last year CRUK needs you take part more than ever this year to continue the amazing work that they do.

The Race for Life events are back full throttle this year and I am again delighted to be supporting the Welwyn Hatfield event weekend at the end of May. Lindsey Fitness Members have turned out with me every year I have been presenting the warm up or hosting on stage and we're doing it again this Year!

The Welwyn Hatfield Events are :

Saturday 28th May 2022 - Pretty Muddy 5k & Pretty Muddy Kids

Sunday 29th May 2022 - Race for Life 5km & 10 km

To help with your training for walking this event I would as always like to invite you to join the Power Walkers at the Lindsey Fitness Running Club on Sunday Mornings from now until the Welwyn Hatfield Event Weekend. We meet at 7.45am for a 3-4 mile walk. If you would like to come along please first enter Race for Life then get in touch for further details of how you can join the Sunday morning walks - contact details at the end of this newsletter.
